Ramadi (NINA) – A military officer at the rank of captain, his wife and child wounded when an improvised explosive device went off on Wednesday, June 20, in Falluja, Anbar province.

Police source told NINA that a locally made improvised explosive device went off when the officer was driving his car near Shuhada Intersection in southern Falluj, seriously wounding the officer, and his wife and child; they are rushed to hospital for treatment.

The source added that police closed the area in anticipation of the presence of other explosives in the area. / End.
